Retail Sales Associate (part-time)

The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, Notarizing Documents, Livescan Fingerprintng, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who tries to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Notary Public and Livescan operator (we will provide training and education)
• Helps with other Center functions as needed, such as faxing, copying, laminating, and binding
• Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
• Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
• Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
• Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
• Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience
• Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, and properly cushioning contents
• Takes ownership of customers’ packing, shipping, and/or print problems and offers viable solutions
• Follows and understands quality guidelines
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
• Performs other duties as required
• Monitors, evaluates, and maximizes customer service delivery and customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS

• Notary Public (we will provide training but must qualify)
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math
• Prompt, reliable, and responsible
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Willing to accept full accountability for Center operations
• Able to cross sell and up sell products and services
• Able to follow and understand quality guidelines
• Able to work and complete tasks independently in a quick turn environment
• Strong customer service skills and abilities
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Must be an energetic self-starter who is driven to succeed
• Willing and able to work 30 to 40 hours per week for a 6-day work week

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
