Job Type: Part-Time
Work Setting: In-store / On-site
Pay: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour (based on experience)
The UPS Store in Wauconda is seeking a friendly, dependable team member to join our local small business team. If you enjoy helping customers, staying active during your shift, and working in a fast-paced retail environment, this position could be a great fit. Our team supports customers with shipping, printing, packaging, and other everyday business services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service while assisting customers with shipping, packaging, printing, and other store services
- Prepare and process domestic and international shipments
- Safely package customer items using proper packing materials and techniques
- Assist mailbox customers and manage package drop-offs and pickups
- Operate copiers, printers, and other office equipment for customer print jobs
- Process payments and handle transactions accurately through the point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment
- Work with team members to keep the store running efficiently during busy periods
Qualifications
- Friendly and professional communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable lifting packages up to 50 lbs when required
- Basic computer and technology skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a retail setting
- Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required
- Notary Public certification is a plus (not required)
