As a Retail Shift Leader, you will be the driving force behind smooth store operations during your shift, inspiring your team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your management skills, oversee daily store functions, and create a welcoming environment for both customers and staff. Your energy, organizational skills, and leadership will help elevate the shopping experience and ensure operational success. This is full time, some Saturdays required and Sundays we rotate every 5th Sunday or so.
Duties
- Supervise daily store operations, ensuring all activities run efficiently and smoothly during your shift
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales and maintain store presentation standards
- Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive interaction
Requirements
- Proven supervisory or assistant manager experience in retail or grocery environments
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and motivate staff
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in retail math, POS systems, inventory management, and cash handling
- Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
- Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs, and recruiting processes
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Computer skills required, microsoft , some excel,printing,design knowledge helpful.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities including supervising staff, managing stock levels, and ensuring customer satisfaction
