UPS Store Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of retail operations. This role involves engaging with customers, assisting with product selection, and ensuring a positive shopping experience in our grocery store environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling.
• Provide product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Upsell products by suggesting complementary items to enhance customer purchases.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are stocked appropriately.
• Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and create a welcoming store atmosphere.
• Ensure compliance with store policies, including phone etiquette and customer interaction protocols.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
• Experience with retail sales, including knowledge of retail math for accurate transactions.
• Proficiency in using POS systems for efficient sales processing.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Supervising experience is a plus, enhancing team collaboration and support.
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases.
• Familiarity with merchandising techniques to create attractive product displays.
