Retail Sales Associate

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers, assisting with merchandise display, and operating POS systems. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, be comfortable communicating via phone, and possess a passion for retail sales. Experience with UPS retail stores is a plus, and bilingual candidates are preferred to better serve our diverse customer base.

Duties

• Assist customers with their purchases and inquiries, ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Operate POS systems and cash registers accurately and efficiently during transactions
• Manage merchandising tasks, including product displays and stock organization
• Handle phone communications to support customer questions and store operations
• Maintain organized store environment to enhance shopping experience
• Support inventory management and restocking as needed
• Provide knowledgeable assistance on products and services offered in the store

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience preferred; experience in UPS retail stores is advantageous and may qualify for a raise
• Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations
• Strong organizational skills to manage merchandise and store layout effectively
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette
• Ability to work well in a team environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Bilingual candidates are highly preferred to serve a diverse customer base
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as required
