Responsibilities
- Assist customers with shipping services, product inquiries, and retail purchases
- Operate POS systems and cash registers accurately during transactions
- Handle retail sales transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing cash drawers
- Promote and upsell store products and services to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain attractive product displays
- Educate customers about available products and services
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment in accordance with company standards
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and merchandising efforts
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
Experience
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially with POS systems
- Strong communication skills and friendly demeanor essential for customer interactions
- Basic math skills necessary for handling transactions and balancing cash drawers
- Knowledge of retail store products, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies beneficial
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs independently using safe lifting techniques
