What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Printing Store Manager position at The Ups Store - Fountain,CO?
The Center Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of this retail location. He or she will open and close the center, manage productivity and ensure the center’s team delivers world-class customer service to all customers, monitor cost control and expenses, and provide weekly and monthly reports to the franchise owner. The Center Manager is ultimately accountable for profit/loss, continuous improvement, service delivery levels, personnel management, and business development. The ideal candidate has a post high school education (college coursework or a degree), two years of retail store operations experience, strong supervisory/managerial/leadership skills, excellent computer/internet/software knowledge, the physical ability to perform this job (lifting, bending, etc.), and knows how to “listen and lead.” He or she must have a dynamic personality and must be able motivate a team to optimize performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Run day to day store operations
Market and sell products to prospective customers
Helps with personnel management, which includes recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching associates
Monitors, evaluates, and helps maximize customer service delivery and customer satisfaction
Helps manage Center maintenance, including cleanliness, safety, and organization
Answers phones courteously and provides accurate, detailed information
Communicates effectively and continuously practices good listening with customers, co-workers, vendors, and leadership
Communicates effectively with customers
Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
Performs other duties as required

Takes ownership of any shipping problems and offers viable solutions
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous Experience with a UPS or FedEx Store
Knowledge and application of graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite)
Knowledge of Shipping and Logistics
High school diploma, Advanced education degree, coursework, or tech school desired
Strong customer service skills and abilities
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Able to cross sell and up sell products and services
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
