Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure proper stock levels through stocking and inventory management
- Assist with cashiering duties, including basic math calculations and retail math accuracy
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Support store operations by organizing merchandise, ensuring cleanliness, and adhering to safety standards
- Participate in product knowledge training sessions and contribute to team sales goals
- Supervise or assist in supervising new team members when necessary
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Experience with merchandising, stock management, and product demos is desirable
- Supervising experience is beneficial but not required; leadership qualities are valued
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; excellent teamwork skills are essential
Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
