Job Summary – The UPS Store Associate
The UPS Store Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while assisting customers with a wide variety of shipping, printing, mailbox, and business service needs. Associates are expected to maintain a professional and friendly attitude, accurately process transactions, and ensure all services are completed in accordance with UPS and store policies.
Daily responsibilities include packing items using proper packing techniques, processing domestic and international shipments, preparing shipping labels, explaining shipping options, handling package drop-offs, managing mailbox services, operating point-of-sale systems, and assisting customers with printing, copying, faxing, scanning, and other document services. Associates may also notarize documents if commissioned as a notary public.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized store, stocking supplies, answering phones and emails, filing shipping claims when necessary, tracking packages, resolving customer concerns, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and security procedures. Associates are expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, communicate clearly with customers and coworkers, and contribute to a positive team atmosphere while meeting the operational needs of the store.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
