We’re hiring a Retail Store Associate at The UPS Store.
Applicants with prior UPS Store experience strongly preferred.
Job Summary:
The UPS Store Retail Associate is responsible for delivering best-in-class customer service, assisting customers with their shipping, printing, packaging, and mailbox service needs, and maintaining smooth store operations. This role requires advising customers with accurate information about our wide range of products and services, offering the best value options, and demonstrating confidence through thorough knowledge of industry’s best practices. The ideal candidate will have previous retail sales experience, basic computer and internet skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent. A friendly, helpful attitude and professional appearance are essential. Additionally, the candidate should be a quick learner who is motivated to understand all aspects of the business as efficiently as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
· Welcome and assist customers promptly, creating a friendly, helpful, and professional atmosphere throughout their visit.
· Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions, including shipping options, packaging materials, and printing services.
· Professionally and accurately process shipping transactions, including domestic and international shipments.
· Provide assistance with printing, copying, scanning, binding, and other print-related services using in-store equipment.
· Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to handle transactions efficiently and accurately.
· Assist in packing customer items securely and in compliance with carrier guidelines.
· Manage and distribute incoming mail and packages for mailbox customers.
· Maintain inventory of supplies, restocking items as necessary.
· Ensure the store’s environment is clean, organized, and compliant with brand standards.
· Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
· Support administrative tasks and assist the Store Manager with operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Basic computer skills (email, data entry, POS systems).
· Able to lift packages up to 40 lbs.
· Notary license preferred but not required
· Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
· Prior retail, customer service, or shipping/print experience is a plus.
· previous experience with The UPS Store or UPS services is a strong plus.
