Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection, providing knowledgeable guidance and personalized recommendations
• Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features, benefits, and usage tips, enhancing customer understanding and interest
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately
• Upsell complementary products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts, keeping the sales floor tidy and inviting
• Manage inventory by restocking shelves, organizing stockroom supplies, and conducting regular stock checks
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette or in person, resolving issues promptly and professionally

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth transactions
• Previous supervising or leadership experience is a plus for guiding team members or assisting in training new staff
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for pricing, discounts, and inventory management
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customers, including bilingual abilities for broader reach
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and grocery store operations enhances versatility in retail environments
• Skilled in conducting product demos that educate customers and boost sales through upselling techniques
• Knowledge of basic math principles necessary for cashiering and retail math calculations
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone
