Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and cashiering
- Maintain proper merchandising standards and organize products on shelves
- Stock shelves and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting
- Use good phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and inventory counts
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Support supervising staff as needed in overseeing daily store operations
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
- Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos is a plus
- Supervising experience is desirable but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
- Bilingual abilities are highly preferred to assist a diverse customer base
