Job Summary
The UPS Store is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Retail Sales Associate who can deliver exceptional service while driving sales results. This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, persuasive, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will help customers with shipping, printing, packing, and business service needs while actively recommending products and services to increase store sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide an excellent in-store experience
- Assist customers with shipping, packing, printing, mailbox services, and related retail needs
- Identify customer needs and recommend additional products and services to increase sales
- Upsell and cross-sell store offerings such as packing supplies, insurance, notary services, printing, and business solutions
- Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods with accuracy
- Prepare packages for shipment according to company and carrier standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store appearance
- Support daily store operations and help meet sales goals
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Follow all store policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong sales ability with a proven desire to exceed goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and point-of-sale skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move packages as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
