Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Reports To: Store Manager / Assistant Manager
Job Summary:
The Sales Associate at The UPS Store is responsible for delivering world-class customer service to all customers. This includes providing expert advice and solutions for shipping, printing, packaging, and mailbox services. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist customers with shipping, printing, packing, and mailbox services.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) system, handle cash and card transactions.
- Prepare shipments, print jobs, and packaging to The UPS Store standards.
- Maintain clean and organized store appearance.
- Monitor and manage inventory of store supplies and products.
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and follow up with customer requests.
- Promote store services and upsell products when appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all operational policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, internet browsing).
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, if needed.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Notary Public commission is a plus, or willingness to become a Notary Public preferred.
