Role Description The Inpatient Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based at The University of Toledo in Toledo, OH. This role is responsible for verifying, preparing, and dispensing medications for hospitalized patients, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely medication therapy in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Typical responsibilities include reviewing medication orders, checking for dosing accuracy and potential interactions, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on individualized treatment plans. The pharmacist provides medication counseling and education to patients and clinical staff, participates in clinical rounds when appropriate, and contributes to antimicrobial stewardship and other quality initiatives.
