The mission of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice is to engage in research, education and service to students, practitioners, policymakers and the community. Salary Range: Up to $52,900/9-month contract, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications

Position Summary
Fixed-termed track faculty members at UTSA are expected to:
- Teach multiple course sections of undergraduate courses in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
- Coordinate, administer, and manage the undergraduate internship program including as the instructor of record for the internship course in Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. This responsibility includes an emphasis on facilitating professional development experiences for undergraduate students and building and maintaining external relationships with internship partners.
- Advise and support student success at the undergraduate level by promoting interactions and connections with community stakeholders to fulfill experiential learning and classroom to career initiatives within the department, college and university.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or closely related field.
- Teaching experience in post-secondary educational settings or equivalent.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
- Professional experience working in the field of criminal justice or a related field.
- Administrative, managerial, or leadership experience.
- Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
