Position Summary
The Senior Coordinator for Operations and Support provides operational and technical support for career-related platforms and services, and leads the coordination and execution of communications, outreach, and event logistics that support employer engagement and career-related programming within the Office of Business, Community, and Government Engagement. This position reports the Director of Operations and Support.
The Senior Coordinator supervises student employees and coordinates logistical and operational support for employer engagement and career-related events, ensuring consistent service delivery, accurate system use, and effective day-to-day operations.
Statement Of Duties And Responsibilities
Provide operational and technical support for career-related platforms and services, including Handshake, ensuring accurate posting of opportunities and reliable access for students, employers, and staff.
Lead coordination and execution of student-facing communications related to employer engagement, career opportunities, events, and programs, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent messaging.
Serve as a primary point of contact for students and employers requiring assistance with career platforms, troubleshooting issues, navigating system features, and accessing resources.
Develop and manage communication schedules and workflows for career-related programming, including email campaigns, website updates, event promotions, and digital outreach.
Coordinate logistics for employer engagement and career-related events such as employer information sessions, on-campus recruitment activities, and other programs.
Supervise, train, schedule, and support student employees assigned to operations and platform support functions and communications and event support functions, ensuring consistent service coverage and quality.
Coordinate day-to-day operational workflows related to employer engagement and career services, including intake of requests, task assignment, and follow-up.
Provide logistical and operational support for career-related and employer engagement events, including room coordination, check-in support, materials preparation, and on-site assistance as needed.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to platform usage, employer postings, events, and operational activity.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum Experience Required
One (1) year of experience providing operational, technical, or administrative support in a higher education, career services, workforce development, or similar professional environment.
Demonstrated experience supporting systems or platforms (such as career management, CRM, or service platforms), including user support, troubleshooting, and data or posting management.
Preferred Education/Experience
Experience working in a higher education, career services, or workforce development environment, particularly in roles supporting employer engagement or student-facing services.
Experience supervising or mentoring student employees, including training, scheduling, and performance feedback.
Strong customer service and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to support students, employers, and staff in a service-oriented environment.
Ability to manage multiple operational priorities while maintaining attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.
