Position Information
Hiring Department: Facilities
Posting End Date: Applications will be accepted through 11:59 PM CDT on 5/3/2025.
Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm, flexibility is required on evenings and weekends.
FLSA status: Non-exempt.
Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Required Application Materials
Provide expert level technical knowledge and skills to maintain the campuses building envelops, sidewalks, roadways, interior spaces, and common areas.
Essential Functions
Responsible for maintenance and general repairs of campus buildings and infrastructure.
Creates, prints, and closes work orders.
Assists in estimating labor and material cost; reports the estimate to superior.
Repairs and installs fencing throughout campus.
Performs minor welding and soldering repairs and priming handrails and bicycle racks and performing other minor welding tasks.
Inspects work of subordinates and assures quality.
Inspects roofs, windows, walls, concrete, and drains for water leaks and perform repairs as needed.
Maintains sidewalks, walls, roads, driveways, and pedestrian pathways.
Installs and repairs door hardware.
Must be available on an "On Call" basis.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or general education degree or combination of education and experience.

Experience: Two years of experience, related to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A valid driver's license is required.
