    This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. This job is located in the greater Chicago, IL area. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.

    Purpose

    This Social Science/Humanities Research Associate III will play a key role in advancing research initiatives by supporting collaborative, community-engaged projects focused on mental health.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate quantitative and qualitative data collection across multiple research projects using approved methods in collaboration with the research team.
    • Translate study results and intervention tools into visually engaging, accessible formats for a variety of audiences, in partnership with research team members and collaborators.
    • Oversee data cleaning and coding, and database management for descriptive project reporting and analyses for academic journal manuscripts.
    • Maintain strong, positive relationships with project partners. Support collaborative research efforts through clear communication, including but not limited to sharing research and training opportunities and coordinating training enrollment.
    • Provides support with writing, editing, and reviewing scientific literature. Managing references and citations for grant proposals and academic journal articles.


    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree in a related social science field with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Values the contributions of others in the work environment.

    Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Master's Degree in a related social science field with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Experience with data management, analysis and reporting with large datasets. Clinical or research experience in the mental health field. Experience conducting multi-site evaluation and intervention studies. Lived experience with mental health and passion for partnership with young people and community providers.

    Salary Range

    $50,000-$55,000 - depending on qualifications

    Work Shift

    • M-F, Flexible between 8am-6pm

    Employment Eligibility:

    Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers.     Retirement Plan Eligibility:

    The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.

  • Compliance:
