    Purpose

    The Senior Field Trainer/Analyst will support the development and implementation of the Mathematics Intervention Academies, a statewide professional learning initiative designed to strengthen instructional systems and intervention practices in mathematics. This role will contribute to the design of professional learning content, lead facilitation of Training-of-Trainers (TOT) sessions to prepare facilitators, and support the successful implementation of the pilot year of the Mathematics Intervention Academies.

    Required Qualifications

    • A Master's degree in special education, mathematics education, curriculum and instruction, or a closely related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience
    • Advanced training in mathematics intervention for students with or at risk for mathematics difficulties, including expertise in mathematics assessment, data-based individualization (DBI), and evidence-based mathematics instruction
    • Experience developing and delivering professional learning for educators in mathematics instruction and intervention is required. Experience collaborating with research and professional development teams to design facilitator guides, training materials, and implementation supports for large-scale mathematics professional learning initiatives is required
    • Experience translating research on mathematics interventions into practical guidance and professional learning for educators is required


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Doctoral degree or doctoral candidacy nearing completion in special education, mathematics education, curriculum and instruction, or a closely related field with specialization in mathematics intervention or mathematics learning difficulties
    • Experience supporting statewide or large-scale professional learning initiatives focused on mathematics instruction and intervention
    • Experience preparing facilitators through Training-of-Trainers (TOT) models and supporting implementation of multi-session professional learning programs
    • Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of researchers and professional development specialists to refine training materials based on implementation feedback
    • Experience applying research in mathematics interventions for students with disabilities or persistent mathematics difficulties to professional learning for educators
    • Experience facilitating virtual or hybrid professional learning for educators, including use of interactive training structures and implementation supports


    Salary Range

    $70,000-$80,000

    Employment Eligibility:

    Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers.     Retirement Plan Eligibility:

    The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.

  • Compliance:
