Job Summary
The Parking Controller will assist the Assistant Director in planning, coordination and management of parking and transportation for campus events. Manage and support front-line customer service and business plan initiatives. Parking Controllers perform acombination of functions including Ticket Writer, Info Booth Attendee, Relief Guard, Auto Assistance, Customer Service, and Boot Driver.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduation or GED .
- Two (2) years working with the public, or in customer service positions or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role.
- Must have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in the state of Texas and possess an acceptable driving record.
- Bachelor’s degree in a service or business related field and one (1) year working in parking and transportation environment.
- Previous staff management experience.
- Two (2) years working at the University of Texas at Arlington.
- Ticket Writing—Patrols parking areas on foot, bike, cart, and truck to ensure that only authorized vehicles are using the parking facilities.
- Information Booth Attendee—Articulates directional information and location of buildings and offices to visitors. Issues official visitor permits.
- Event Setup/Tear Down—Supports the “Event” staff by delivering, setting up, and taking down cones, barricades, signs, and sign covers.
- Customer Service Representative—Serves as liaison between parking office and campus community.
- Boot Driver—Installs and removes immobilization devices. Facilitates towing of vehicles with impound lot.
