Faculty Scholar Visiting
Department of Orthopedic Surgery Position Responsibilities:
- Planning and carrying out research projects
- Writing IRB applications, developing research ideas
- Maintaining prospective databases
- Educate medical students, and mentor research efforts
- Educate and mentor orthopaedic residents and fellow for academic research and growth
- Collaborate with our Orthopaedic Residents and pediatric orthopaedic fellow on research projects
- Weekly progress reports on assigned projects and present at monthly research meetings
- Attend to orthopaedic grand rounds (Wednesday) and department research meetings
- Attend to and participate in discussions at pediatric orthopaedic pre operative (Monday), post operative(Friday) and didactic (Tuesday) conferences
- Expectation is to publish at least three peer reviewed manuscript and one book chapter during stay and present work at a national conference.
- Participate in pediatric orthopaedic surgery academic curriculum
- MD in Medicine
