Job Description Summary
The Traumatic Brain Injury Research Initiative within the Department of Neurology (TBIRI) is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant A / B to support several investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored research studies exploring acute and chronic TBI. The TBIRI portfolio includes observational and interventional drug / device trials which take place in both the inpatient (ICU) and outpatient settings. The research assistant will work on all phases of subject recruitment, enrollment, and execution of assigned clinical studies and trials. Hours are flexible and may include evenings or weekend as necessary.

Job Responsibilities
Clinical Research Assistant A : The Clinical Research Assistant A will perform research and administrative tasks for research projects and clinical trials. Involvement in projects will range from several weeks to serving as the primary research assistant for a study, handling all research assistant activities such as :
Assist with prescreening, recruiting, and screening patients according to protocol; Schedule patient visits and any necessary testing; Organize and help maintain study documentation, includes source documentation, case report forms, research charts, and study logs; Prepare for study visits including labeling and creating visit packets; Collect and review study data; Process and ship study specimens including blood and urine; Escort patients to research visits; Participate in study team meetings and ongoing protocol training; Perform general administrative duties to support TBIRI.
Clinical Research Assistant B : Clinical Research Assistant B is expected to perform the duties above with less supervision from the study team (Program Lead, Project Managers, Clinical Research Coordinators). In addition to above, the person will be expected to do more in-depth prescreening and review of medical records, data entry, and conduct delegated study visit tasks autonomously.
Hiring range minimum for this position is $17.55 per hour.

Qualifications
- CRA-A- : High School Grad / GE Degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- CRA-B : High School Grad / GE Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
