Job Description Summary
The position provides high-level administrative and project support to Schools / Centers. This role engages in a wide range of activities which may include budget management. The position also interacts with senior internal administrator and external stakeholders.
Job Description
The Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy is the newest department in the Perelman School of Medicine and has experienced rapid expansion. Under dynamic senior leadership, our faculty are engaged in innovative and ground breaking research both domestically and internationally. This position will provide administrative support to 4 faculty members in the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy. The duties include coordinating duties such as scheduling for the individual faculty member, organizing meetings, answering phones, processing travel and reimbursements, and other activities to administratively support the PIs. This position will help organize meetings and those duties will include ordering food, securing space, obtain materials for meetings, setting up meeting space, tracking attendance, communicating with attendees, preparing materials, facilitating travel arrangements, processing travel reimbursements, and taking meeting minutes. This position will assist with biweekly seminars by coordinating travel, itinerary and reimbursements for outside speakers. This position will assist with manuscript submissions and maintain the faculty members CV and other support materials. This position will also assist with coordinating administrative activities of the Health Policy data analytics group.
Qualifications
- High School Grad / GE Degree, and 5 to 7 years of experience in healthcare field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills required. Previous event planning experience is preferred, but not required. Position is Contingent upon funding.
