Department Campus Technology Services-OPS Compensation $16.50 Hourly Required Qualifications Role Overview: The Overwatch Coach for UNF Esports will be responsible for leading and developing the university’s competitive Overwatch team. This includes strategic planning, team coordination, and fostering a positive and communicative team environment. The coach will oversee scrimmages, VOD reviews, and tournament matches, ensuring the team is prepared and competitive. Key Responsibilities: Research and implement effective team strategies and compositions. Facilitate clear and respectful communication among team members. Organize and manage team schedules, including practices, scrimmages, and tournament participation. Conduct VOD reviews to analyze gameplay and provide constructive feedback. Mentor student players to improve individual and team performance. Required Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Overwatch gameplay, including current meta and popular strategies. Familiarity with team compositions and role synergies. Techniques for fostering effective in-game communication. Essential Skills: Strong time management and organizational abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Patience and adaptability are essential when working with student athletes. Ability to provide feedback constructively and encouragingly. Foster a respectful and supportive environment by upholding clear boundaries between coach and student, ensuring all interactions remain focused on skill development, teamwork, and personal growth.
