Department Athletics, Facilities & Operations Compensation $43,888.00 Annual Position Summary: The Coordinator of Events and Operations assists the Assistant AD and Deputy AD with administrative and operational functions related to athletic events, facilities, and day-to-day department operations. The primary responsibility is event management, including planning and executing internal and external events, while also supporting operations, administrative tasks, and facility oversight. Job Functions: Event Management Manage all aspects of game operations for select sports, including securing and supervising game-day staff, setup, breakdown, and serving as game manager. Coordinate event logistics with internal and external entities (police, security, parking, officials, visiting teams). Ensure compliance with NCAA Division I standards and institutional policies during events. Communicate regularly with coaches, officials, and administrative units regarding event details. Oversee event staffing and troubleshoot issues during events. Operations Assist with scheduling management systems for athletic facilities and events. Support project management for operational initiatives and special projects as well as other duties assigned by the Assistant AD or Deputy AD. Coordinate work orders and ensure timely completion of operational tasks. Oversee all GAs, Interns, and OPS event staffing. Administrative Manage budget projections for internal operations and external events; reconcile event expenses. Initiate and track contracts through the iContract portal; ensure insurance coverage for outside events meets university requirements. Maintain accurate records of events, budgets, and operational activities. Provide administrative support for staffing management and departmental reporting. Facility Management Assist in the management, maintenance, and utilization of all athletic-controlled facilities. Conduct regular walkthroughs of assigned facilities to ensure cleanliness and functionality. Plan and coordinate athletic facility and field maintenance in compliance with NCAA standards. Communicate with coaches and administration regarding facility needs and maintenance schedules. Supervise facility-related projects as assigned. Required Qualifications Master's or Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
