Department Physical Facilities Compensation $18.46 to Negotiable Hourly General Description / Primary Purpose: This is work calibrating, maintaining, and installing pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, digital, and electronic environmental control systems. Job Function: 90%: Energy Management systems applications. Performs preventive maintenance and maintenance. Performs analyses and repairs. Assists in the maintenance of energy control systems. Marginal Functions: 10%: Supplementary responsibilities a) work orders; b) campus emergencies; c) perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs; d) assists other trades as necessary. This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed. Departmental Requirements: Driver's License Supervision Received: Regular supervision. The incumbent performs routine assignments independently and only unusual problems which may require exceptions to procedures are referred to the supervisor. Required Qualifications High school diploma and 2 years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Statement(s) of Understanding This position requires a background check. In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check.
