- Promotion of KU IT servicesThe ATST is a great opportunity to gain skills in AV, productivity, presentation, and production technologies. Team members will work both in groups and independently, performing classroom AV checks, assisting users in those classrooms, supporting auditorium AV technologies, and a number of tasks/duties that will assist our full-time staff. Prospective ATST students should enjoy problem-solving, collaboration with teammates, and practicing excellent customer service. Self-motivated candidates, with a willingness to learn new things, should thrive in this position.

- Background/experience demonstrating being able to effectively communicate with customers, supervisors, and colleagues as evidenced in application materials.
- Background/experience demonstrating being able to interact with KU community members with excellent customer service skills as evidenced in application materials.
- Background/experience demonstrating being self-motivated, willing to learn new skills, able to follow instructions, and able to complete tasks with light supervision as evidenced in application materials.
- Schedule availability to work 10-20 hours per week during semesters, and 10-35 hours per week during summer.Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with software or platforms that KU IT’s Academic Technology units support.Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).Employment Conditions(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
- This is an hourly/non-exempt position.
