Get to Know Your Team:
- The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, a part of a rich legacy of compassionate care since 1909, now offers 378 licensed beds, a history of innovation, and strong community support.
- Observe and communicate the patient's needs to the Registered Nurse responsible for the patient's care.
- Intervenes to protect the patient and to minimize the risk of injury by reorienting the patient, talking to the patient or calling for assistance.
- Stays near the patient's bedside as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Efficiently responds to requests and needs with patient focus.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Prior work experience in a comparable setting.
- Enrolled in Nursing Assistant or Practical Nursing Program.
