Responsibilities
- A Certified Physical Therapy Assistant will perform the delivery of prescribed care to assigned patients consistent with standards of practice defined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the physical therapy practice in the State of Kansas.
- Provides direction to clinical support staff.
- Promotes physical therapy services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
- Works under the administrative direction of the Rehab Services Supervisor in assigned clinical area.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program
- Must possess or be eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the State of Kansas
- Must obtain CPR certification within 90 days of hire date
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), essential for efficient documentation and communication
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in the medical setting or a rehabilitation setting
