The Program Support Specialist Is a Temporary, Part-time Position (20 Hours Per Week) That Provides Administrative And Logistical Support For Community-focused Programs And Events In The Lamar Dodd School Of Art. This Position Reports To The Associate Director Of Curriculum And Collaborates With Faculty, Staff, And External Partners To Ensure Successful Delivery Of Programs Including
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

- Coordinate communications, recruitment, registration, and scheduling for camps, classes, and workshops.
- Maintain participant records.
- Assure compliance with University policies and safety protocols.
- Support event logistics (space reservations, room setup, materials preparation).
- Serve as primary contact for program inquiries.
- Assist with marketing efforts (social media updates, flyers, website content).
- Provide on-site support during events and classes.
- Collaborate on Curriculum Office initiatives.

- UGA Summer Art Camp for high school students
- UGA Community Art School classes for adult learners
- Manual Dexterity Certificate workshops for pre-professional students
- Assist with departmental events such as graduation ceremonies and special receptions
- Assist with School of Art curriculum office operations including room reservations, course scheduling, and student registration support
- This temporary position will end on May 31, 2026.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
- College degree.
- Experience in arts administration or community programming.
- Familiarity with UGA systems and policies.
- Experience as an artist, art educator, or art scholar.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Move materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours needed for events.
