The sought postdoctoral researcher will use genetic screens, bioinformatics and microscopy-based approaches to discover and study novel genes products that contribute to the mechanisms of intracellular pattern formation. The researcher will use the genetic model protist Tetrahymena thermophila. New components of the pathway will be identified using genetic suppressor screens.

An ideal candidate would be a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with expertise in molecular biology, genetics and microscopy-based imaging.
