Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
Perform diagnostic laboratory testing according to laboratory standard operating procedures (SOP’s). Testing materials include a variety of animal specimens for a variety of animal diseases.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies
Knowledge of biology and laboratory bench skills. The ability to work in a team setting and provide general assistance to other personnel is important.
Physical Demands
Extended periods of sitting conducting bench work and some light lifting.

Conduct diagnostic testing including: processing samples, completing necessary paperwork, entering test results into the LIMS, and performing various diagnostic test.
Percentage of time 40 Duties/Responsibilities
Support Quality Management Office: Omni-Assistant applications, document control, and other support procedures. Support Serology section’s quality system by maintaining records.
Percentage of time 30 Duties/Responsibilities
Maintain cell culture for diagnostic and research testing, including maintaining cell culture inventory and pertinent records.
Percentage of time 20 Duties/Responsibilities
General laboratory upkeep: housekeeping, preparation of media & solutions, monitoring of equipment.
Percentage of time 5 Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with CLIA lab testing, PCR testing and research projects.
