Role Description

The Assistant/Associate Professor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery will provide high-standard clinical care, engage in teaching and mentorship of students and residents, and contribute to the department's research initiatives. Responsibilities include performing oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, supervising clinical activities, developing and delivering educational curricula, and participating in scholarly activities. This is a full-time, on-site position located at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including clinical care and advanced surgical techniques
• Strong teaching and mentorship abilities, with experience in curriculum development and resident education
• Research skills, including the ability to conduct, publish, and present scholarly work in relevant fields
• Board certification or board eligibility in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative abilities
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational and clinical settings
• An active license to practice dentistry in the state of Connecticut or eligibility to obtain one
