Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some evenings as needed.

Job Summary: The Crimson Compass Program Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Crimson Compass Program. Coordinates efforts for high school students by preparing them for college admissions and exploring academic direction and opportunities. Creates and coordinates recruitment activities and program events, including presentations, high school visits, information sessions, recognition events, family engagement activities, and student success programming. Collaborates with campus and K–12 partners to ensure exceptional service and strengthen relationships that support student success and program growth.

Additional Department Summary: Coordinates the K-12 school liaising/partnerships, recruitment, programming, and communications functions of the Crimson Compass program. Serves as the primary operational support for the program by assisting with outreach to Alabama high schools, coordinating student services, coordinating programming details, maintaining program records, supporting marketing initiatives, and ensuring students successfully navigate the transition from high school to college.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; OR master's degree and some experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build, nurture, and sustain partnerships between educational entities. Understanding of recruitment and marketing strategies. Demonstrated organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to establish positive working relationships with students, families, educators, and campus partners.

Preferred Qualifications: K-12 teaching and/or administrative experience. Experience working collaboratively with K–12 school districts, counselors, and community organizations. Experience using data to inform continuous improvement strategies.
