Job Summary
Serve as project coordinator of the Economic Development Administration Sustainable Polymers Tech Hub WISE workforce development project.
Essential Functions
Education: Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
Licenses/Certifications/Requirements: None.
Experience
Requires a minimum of 4 years experience in project management. Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Previous supervisory experience required. Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database computer software required.
Leadership
May serve as direct first-line supervisor over exempt staff (and non-exempt staff, if applicable) or students.
Physical Requirements
Job is physically comfortable; individual is normally seated and has discretion about walking, standing, etc. May occasionally lift very lightweight objects.
Working Conditions
Standard working environment with possible minor inconveniences due to occasional noise, crowded working conditions and/or minor heating/cooling or ventilation problems. Some off-site outreach required. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

- Plan, direct, coordinate and lead activities of specified project to ensure that goals, objectives and all elements are met within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
- Support day-to-day coordination of WISE and University of Akron component activities, reports and scheduling.
- Manage and conduct UA/high school/community outreach activities, track course and student metrics and milestones, and manage tuition vouchers.
