We have an immediate need for full-time Resident Coordinator to join our team at College Suites at City Station, one of United Group’s professionally managed student housing communities located in Troy, NY. To learn more about our property, please visit: https://citystation.mycollegesuites.com/

Marketing Leasing

  • Provide superior service to all prospects, residents, guarantors, etc.
  • Actively involved in full leasing cycle, including but not limited to: follow-ups, tours, online applications lease signatures
  • Monitor preleasing goals for both new leases renewals
  • Partner with property managers and corporate marketing team in creation of marketing collateral, promotional items, marketing events, etc.
  • Lead property teams in development execution of 90-day marketing plans that includes serving as a liaison between property team and corporate marketing team on initiatives
  • Schedule and implement grassroots outreach efforts and develop relationships and co-marketing opportunities with a variety of local organizations
  • Ensure Socially FIT compliance at properties by assisting in managing social media accounts and monitoring growth of social platforms for each site
  • Shop, evaluate, and prepare quarterly market surveys in collaboration with on-site team and corporate marketing team
  • Plan and executive marketing resident retention events
  • Manage resident relations/activities budgets for each property
  • Attend and/or speak at events to raise local awareness and generate a prospect pipeline for on-site team
  • Utilize technological tools to reach goals, including but not limited to: online leasing platforms, marketing/collateral platforms, social media, Microsoft Office

Administration

  • Serve as liaison and contact for the college and community
  • Be familiar with community Rules and Regulations
  • Assist with resolving walk-in and phone requests of residents, parents, and community
  • Assist with responding to student/resident inquiries and needs
  • Assist with resolving student/resident roommate differences as needed
  • General office work including filing, answering phones and customer service
  • Perform various administrative tasks as needed or as directed by the Property Manager and any additional responsibilities as required
  • Supervise the planning, preparation, and implementation of lease up events, renewal parties, property events, competitions, and Resident Programs as approved by the Property Manager
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Operations

  • Understand financial aid processes at respective campuses
  • Aid on-site team in collections efforts
  • Provide on-call coverage as scheduled
  • Assist on-site team with property walks, wellness checks, and unit walks
  • Conduct unit walk-throughs and inspections for resident check-out processes
  • Willing able to coach and train Community Assistants to help with projects designed by Resident Coordinator
  • Manage professional relationships with community partners, including but not limited to: local law enforcement, campus offices, vendors

Physical Demands Work Environment

  • May be exposed to outdoor spaces, service areas, or other environments, which will, by their nature, have variances in air quality, temperature, walking surfaces, lighting, and other physical aspects
  • May be exposed to substances such as – paints, cleaning agents, chemicals, which may have various odors that may be considered irritants
  • Frequent body movements include lifting, moving, transferring, bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching
  • Able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted, with twisting and turning of the torso, and stand or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform essential functions
Job Overview Requirements
  • Job Type: Resident Coordinator, non – exempt. $20 per hour
  • Work Hours: Full – Time; Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (weekend and evening hours as needed)
  • Physical Requirements: lifting, moving, transferring, bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching
  • Required Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Required Experience: 1 years of resident assistance experience. Student community preferred with property management experience.
  • Qualities: Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level; Exceptional communication and leadership skills; Ability to solve problems involving residents, maintenance, and challenging situations.
