Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors to maintain a spotless environment.
- Use specialized floor care equipment such as buffers and polishers to ensure floors are clean and well-maintained.
- Clean restrooms, kitchens, and common areas thoroughly, restocking supplies as needed.
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks in larger facilities or specialized areas, utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.
- Conduct light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, reporting repairs, and assisting with minor facility upkeep.
- Follow safety procedures during all cleaning activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of equipment and materials.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, floor scrubbers, and vacuums effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices and basic repair skills is preferred.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently and work independently or as part of a team.
