Afterschool Enrichment Teacher – Music & Ukulele (Part-Time)

The Ukulele Project is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and creative teachers to lead afterschool music programs for elementary students throughout Portland, Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Tigard, Tualatin, Vancouver, WA, and surrounding communities.

This is not your typical music teaching job.

Our classes are filled with games, movement, singing, creativity, laughter, and lots of encouragement. We use original curriculum, songs, and activities to help students build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.

No teaching degree is required.

Ukulele experience is helpful, but not required. We will train the right person.

We're Looking For People Who:

• Love working with kids
• Have positive energy and strong communication skills
• Can confidently lead a group
• Are dependable and professional
• Enjoy music, creativity, and making a difference

Position Details

• Grades 1–5
• Monday–Thursday afternoons
• 1–4 afternoons per week
• $50–$75 per class
• Paid training beginning in August
• Contract position
• Reliable transportation required
• Background check required
