Physical Requirements:
- Work requires alert individuals with good balance, sight, hearing and physical strength
- Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing up to 50 pounds of materiel and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested
- Frequently walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, bending and climbing
- This job is outside and requires working in the cold and heat
Job Summary:
The Quality Control Technician- Inventory Inspector, will work under the guidance of the Quality Control Manager to ensure concrete products are produced in accordance to NPCA and TXDOT regulatory guidelines. This position will require testing for industry certifications. THIS IS AN OUTSIDE POSITION.
Responsibilities:
- This position will be the final inspector of inventory product to ensure compliance with product specifications and company’s quality control system.
- Stamp product with inspection stamp so the shipping team can see final approval and load product on the trucks
- Maintain all records of regulatory testing
- Maintain clear understanding of NPCA and TXDOT regulatory guidelines per the application of products being produced
- Identify production with rejection or rework information and compile reports of examinations and audits
- Audit rework product
- Final product analysis to include proper designation, fitting requirements and final sign off “Ready to Ship”
- Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Provide advice and counseling for all compliance regulations
- Coordinate with Safety supervisor on development and implementation of safety procedure and policies pertaining to product yard inventory
- Other duties as assigned
