Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The Daycare Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Provide individualized attention to each child, ensuring their needs are met.
- Monitor children's progress and behavior, implementing effective behavior management strategies as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive environment for all children.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A nurturing attitude with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.
