Duties
- Provide reliable dog walking services, ensuring pets receive proper exercise and mental stimulation
- Offer pet sitting services that include feeding, administering medication if needed, and companionship during owners' absence
- Conduct overnight in-home pet care to maintain pets' routines and comfort while owners are away
- Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or health issues and communicate observations effectively
- Maintain clear communication with pet owners regarding their pets’ activities, health status, and special needs
- Perform outdoor work such as yard cleanup or securing play areas to ensure a safe environment for pets
Experience
- Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior enhances the quality of care provided
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a strong asset for understanding health needs and administering basic medical care
- Familiarity with animal restraint, grooming, and kennel management contributes to comprehensive pet care skills
- Experience working outdoors or in active environments demonstrates the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting or outdoor activity management
- Excellent client communication skills are essential for building trust with pet owners and providing updates on their pets’ well-being
- A genuine passion for animals combined with customer service experience ensures a positive experience for both pets and their families
- Dog and Cat CPR/First Aid Certification
