Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

7What Is the Opportunity?
As a Claim Representative, Property Direct Repair, you will work closely with the policyholder and our preferred network of contractors to assess coverage, evaluate damages, and negotiate timely settlements on their behalf. In this fast paced, customer-centric role, you will handle 1st Party Property Claims of low to moderate severity in addition to effectively conveying and promoting the benefits and advantages of the MyTravelers Repair Network Program.What Will You Do?
- Deliver consistent service quality throughout the claim lifecycle of 1st Party Property Claims, including but not limited to, immediate contact, explaining the process, setting expectations, resolving inquires, troubleshooting issues, and providing on-going communication, as needed.
- Analyze and evaluate damages based on photos, expert reports, written correspondence, and verbal discussions with various stakeholders.
- Evaluate potential exposures to set claim reserves timely and accurately.
- Collaborates closely with the MyTravelers Repair Network partners to oversee the inspection, damage assessment, and estimate review process while ensuring all steps are completed timely and efficiently.
- Determine settlement amounts based upon network vendor estimate and application of limits, coverages, and deductibles.
- Monitor and respond to incoming DRP customer calls via dedicated phone queue.
- Deepen understanding with Travelers specific and countrywide jurisdictional resources for nationwide claim requirements.
- Complete virtual inspection of losses, when necessary.
- Ability to acquire and maintain relevant insurance license(s) to comply with state and Travelers requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Prior experience in handling property claims.
- Experience working with multiple claims systems including, Genesys, Claim Handling Platform, Xactimate, XactAnalysis).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with customers, contractors, and various external partners.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills required.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and through high volume.
- Ability to work independently while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and claims simultaneously.
- Strong investigative and technical skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, procedures, and processes.
- Proficient in navigating and working across multiple systems and platforms simultaneously.
- Active insurance adjuster license.
What is a Must Have?
- One year of Property claim handling experience or successful completion of Travelers Property Claim Representative training program.
