Compensation: $50,000 - $56,350/year plus health insurance, 401k and other benefits

Commitment: Full-time

Travel Tech represents the leading innovators in travel technology, including online travel agencies, metasearch engines, short-term rental platforms, global distribution systems, travel management companies, and the latest generation of early-stage travel technology start-ups.


Position Overview

Travel Tech is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Industry Relations Coordinator to provide essential operational, financial, and communications support across the association. This full-time role is central to ensuring smooth day-to-day organizational functioning, supporting leadership, and executing administrative, financial, and digital tasks.


The Industry Relations Coordinator will work closely with Travel Tech’s Senior Manager of Industry Relations and President & CEO. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is proactive, and brings strong communication and technology skills.


Key Responsibilities

Financial & Accounting Support

  • Manage invoicing, payments, and regular account maintenance.
  • Process member dues invoices and maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure invoices are accurate, submitted, and paid on time.
  • Reconcile banking and credit card transactions; sync and match transactions in QuickBooks.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or billing.
  • Support payroll processing.


Administrative Operations

  • Provide general administrative support to leadership and staff.
  • Manage scheduling, meeting coordination, and internal calendars.
  • Maintain organizational mailing lists and contact databases.
  • Prepare and organize documents, reports, and meeting materials.
  • Support cross-team communication and keep operational processes running smoothly.

Communications & Marketing

  • Create, format, and deploy newsletters.
  • Assist with the development of marketing materials and basic communications content.
  • Support social media posting, updates, and engagement.
  • Update and maintain the Travel Tech website (content updates, postings, basic edits).

Research & Program Support

  • Conduct occasional small-scale research projects to support industry initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation such as data files, progress summaries, and reports.
  • Observe select industry meetings, hearings, and seminars as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members on ongoing projects.

Other Duties

  • Demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn new tools and workflows.
  • Assist with additional tasks as organizational needs evolve.


Qualifications

Required

  • One year of paid office experience and/or successful track record of relevant internships.
  • College degree.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tireless commitment to details and accuracy, especially with financial data.
  • Excellent writing and analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and basic digital tools. WordPress skills are valued but not required.
  • Experience with scheduling, administrative workflows, and communication tasks.
  • Basic familiarity with website content management and social media tools.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

 

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an administrative, bookkeeping, or operations role.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and reconciliation.
  • Interest in travel or tech industries and/or advocacy and public policy.
  • Experience creating newsletters or managing mailing lists.
