We would prefer having the applicant have 3-5 years of travel agency experience. Salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients in planning and booking comprehensive travel arrangements including flights, hotels, car rentals, and activities using reservation systems and global distribution systems (GDS)
- Provide expert advice on destinations, travel documentation, visas, and health requirements to ensure smooth journeys
- Manage travel schedules efficiently by coordinating multiple bookings and adjusting plans as needed
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand their preferences, budgets, and special requests, ensuring personalized service at every step
- Utilize hotel experience and hospitality knowledge to recommend accommodations that meet client expectations
- Maintain detailed records of bookings, client interactions, and itinerary changes for accurate tracking and follow-up
- Stay updated on industry trends, new destinations, and GDS advancements to deliver current and relevant travel options
Skills
- Proven experience working in a remote sales environment or similar setting with strong self-motivation and communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle client inquiries professionally
- Strong knowledge of travel scheduling, planning processes, and reservation systems including GDS platforms
- Familiarity with the travel industry’s best practices, hotel operations, and hospitality standards
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple bookings simultaneously
- Effective client communication skills to understand needs clearly and provide tailored recommendations
- Experience with hotel booking systems and reservation management tools is highly desirable
