- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions incorporating evidence-based practices
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during urgent situations.
- Provide specialized support for clients dealing with PTSD, addiction issues, grief, chronic pain, or developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder
- Utilize telehealth platforms to extend access to mental health services while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records using medical terminology and ICD coding standards; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans to support patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Engage in clinical research activities and data collection to improve treatment outcomes and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices.
- Offer Christian counseling when appropriate, respecting clients' spiritual beliefs as part of holistic healing.
- Stay current on medical terminology, CPT coding for billing purposes, and behavioral health best practices to enhance service quality.
- Training, or willingness, to train in holistic modalities.
- Proven experience in clinical counseling or mental health support roles within outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychopharmacology integration.
- Hands-on experience working with adolescents and adult individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or those facing gender issues counseling.
- Familiarity with crisis management procedures and crisis intervention techniques in diverse environments including hospital experience or community clinics.
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems; knowledge of medical records management is essential.
- Telehealth experience is highly preferred to facilitate remote client engagement effectively.
- Strong understanding of social work principles, patient assessment methods, behavior management strategies.
