The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, improving efficiencies, and leading a skilled team of machinists, operators, and production personnel. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC lathe operations, thread rolling, and the manufacturing of aerospace nuts, inserts, studs, and specialty fasteners.
Pay - 100K DOE with full benefits
1st Shift Position - Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day production activities across CNC machining, thread rolling, secondary operations, and assembly departments.
- Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments and quality requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop machinists, setup personnel, and operators.
- Monitor productivity, efficiency, scrap rates, and on-time delivery performance.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards and customer-specific aerospace requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Management to support new product introductions and production demands.
- Drive accountability and maintain a culture of organization, cleanliness, and operational discipline.
- Assist with capacity planning, staffing requirements, and equipment utilization.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality and production issues.
- Maintain a safe working environment and enforce company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably within aerospace fasteners or precision-machined components.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of:
- CNC Swiss and CNC Lathe operations
- Thread rolling processes (a definite plus)
- Aerospace nuts, inserts, studs, and specialty fasteners
- Blueprint reading and GD&T
- Manufacturing process flow and routing
- Experience working within AS9100-certified manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to manage production schedules and lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning software preferred.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Experience supporting customer audits and aerospace OEM requirements.
- Knowledge of cold heading, secondary machining, and specialty aerospace materials is a plus.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
