Environmental & Safety Intern

Essential Responsibilities:   

• Assist with EHS documentation (SOPs, permits, inspection logs) and assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk and environmental impact.
• Help deliver safety training materials and toolbox talks, and participate in incident investigations by collecting records, timelines, and contributing to root-cause analysis.
• Conduct assessments for routine tasks and new processes, recommend control measures, and assist in updating job safety analyses (JSAs)
• Support ergonomic assessments and improvement efforts.
• Assist with job based risk assessments.
  
  

Qualifications:  

• Must be currently enrolled or will be enrolled in an accredited college
• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to act independently and manage projects from initiation to completion
• Ability to operate with high amount of confidentiality and professionalism
• Proficient computer skills
