What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Customer Service Specialist/Office Assistant position at The Tiger Sport Shop?
The Customer Service Representative will act as the voice of The Tiger Sports Shop. This person will provide customer-oriented service and act as a liaison between the business and our customers, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency. The primary objective of this position is to ensure excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction. As Office Assistant this individual will assist with other clerical and administrative support for other office staff, assist buyers with writing and placing merchandise orders and assist Accounts Payable as needed
The description of essential functions includes but is not limited to the duties outlined, and the position requires anything that needs to be done in order to complete the job to the satisfaction of management.
- Effectively manage large amounts of incoming calls
- Respond to incoming emails professionally and with a sense of urgency
- Identify customer needs, clarify information, research every issue and provide solutions and/or alternatives to achieve satisfaction
- Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
- Follow established communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Go the extra mile to provide a positive customer experience
- Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
- Refer complaints to the Office or General Manager to help provide appropriate solutions and alternatives
- Keep accurate records of customer interactions, process customer orders and file documents
- Liaise with Marketing and Purchasing to stay updated on new products and features as well as identify customer wants
- Communicate frequently with web fulfillment and web creative teams to resolve customer issues or website inaccuracies.
- Document and complete work as assigned.
- Manage the football autograph process.
- Assist with ordering, organizing and maintaining store and office supplies
- Create store signs, coupons, and other items as needed.
- Assist all office staff with clerical and administrative support.
- Assist Accounts Payable as needed, matching packing lists with invoices, creating mailing labels, and contacting vendors to report invoice issues, shortages, or damages.
- Assist Buyers with placing merchandise orders, tracking shipments and follow-up as needed.
- Create and print RPro reports and directed by COO and buyers to assist in determining product restock needs.
- Post open jobs and communicate with applicants as directed by Hiring Manager. Compile new employee paperwork as directed and keep an up to date employee contact list for all store communication.
- Provide store support as needed, including assisting on the sales floor during peak periods
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Proven customer support experience
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Must be detail oriented
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of people
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office helpful.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- High school degree
HOURS
- Full time position.
- Must be available to work 8:00AM-6:00PM Monday through Friday, Saturdays as needed.
- Must be available to work all Clemson football home game days.
Salary : $15 - $16
