- Manage a multi-disciplined Engineering group, assigning tasks to engineers and providing guidance and support throughout projects.
- Gauge the progress of various projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers, understanding their requirements, addressing inquiries, and providing regular project updates.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to create new products that align with market needs and meet customer expectations.
- Propose budgets for various engineering projects, considering resource requirements, material costs, and equipment needs.
- Create comprehensive reports to give updates on project status, including milestones achieved, challenges faced, and proposed solutions.
- Train and mentor new employees, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the engineering team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
- BS in Electrical Engineering.
- 5 - 7 years of direct experience in Electrical design and product development.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, enabling effective problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering productive working relationships.
- Proven experience in creating product qualifications and specifications for new products.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to manage and lead a team of engineers effectively.
- Ability to provide constructive criticism and feedback to team members for their professional growth.
- Strong decision-making abilities, capable of making timely and informed judgments.
